Coclicò was born from a rare and precious bond: that between two twin sisters , Ilaria and Sara, united by a deep complicity and a shared imagination since childhood. Ilaria is a painter , Sara studied history of art and entertainment . Our Inspirations
We were born by the sea, in La Spezia, in that bright Liguria that smells of lemon and salty wind . We were educated between Florence and Paris , where art is everywhere, even in the silences. With Coclicò we express all the passion for our origins : the explosion of colors of the Mediterranean scrub , the fluorescent yellow of the broom , the bright red of the strawberry trees , the elegance of the burnet , the magic of the dandelion , the exoticism of the tamarisk , the strength of wild asparagus . We are the daughters of an expert diver. From him we learned to love what is underneath , what cannot be seen: the corals that look like flowers, the shells full of echoes, the sea urchins like small planets. From the voice of our maternal grandfather we heard Procida , a magical island embroidered on white linen, fishing nets made of memory , ancient hands that weave threads of gold and
silence. And then there's India . We crossed it as children to hug a distant uncle, and it later became the destination of many journeys. We entered with bright eyes and returned with hands full of colors .
